Description		    Only edition of this two part work concerning a dispute concerning the charitable organizations on behalf of the poor in Jerusalem by the rabbis in Baghdad. The title, Kenogah Zedkah, is taken from the verse “For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth like radiance (Kenogah Zedkah), and her salvation like a burning torch” (Isaiah 62:1). The title page describes it as the positions of several contemporary Baghdad sages on behalf of these local organizations, which through all times made enactments on behalf of these organizations and to ensure that monies were not embezzled, as can be seen in the book. There is a table of contents, beginning with a prologue from the rabbis of Adat ha-Sefardim in Jerusalem, a page describing the work as a Concise Pesak ha-Din from R. Isaac Nissim and R. Jacob Meir and then the text in a single column in square unvocalized Hebrew. It begins with the lengthy responsa of R. Isaac Nissim (1-28), followed by additional responsas (hascomot). Kenogah Zedkah was printed in two parts, the second part being printed the next year (1934), that part bein Hascomah u-pesak din of R. Ben Zion Meir Hai Uziel. Both parts are bound here.
