This edition of the paper No. 1, Jahrgang 1 is the only edition. It has entries such as Der Kampf um den Drachen (the fight for the dragon) which is verse comprised of seven quatrains, the first beginning Preisend mit viel schöen Reden (praising with many beautiful speeches) Ihrer Frauen Tugend Zahl (of their women of numerous virtues) Sass die Schaar der Ehemänner, Zu Rawitsch beim Hochzeitsmahl. Organized like a newspaper, the following pages have humorous pieces (articles) and some illustrations. One brief entry in entitled Polizeiverordnung (police order) and is signed Der Magistrat. Below is Räthselhafte Inschrift and below that tow poems, one entitled An die jungen Mädchen von Rawitsch and fadcing it A la Klapphorn. The following pages are comprised of article in the same manner, several in verse, all setting a happy and festive tone for the Cohn wedding. Dr. Cohn served as rabbi in Basel from 1885 until his death. He was the leader of Orthodox Jewry in Switzerland and in 1907 helped to found the Central Association for Observant Jewry in Switzerland. His call to Orthodox Jewry during the Tenth Zionist Congress in 1911 to establish an independent organization to deal with religious issues contributed to the founding of Agudat Israel in 1912. Some of his essays and sermons were published posthumously in Von Israels Lehre und Leben (1927).
