Important scholarly edition of the Hebrew Bible edited by the Christian scholar Christiano Reineccio. The full title is Biblia hebraica ad optimorum codicum et editionum fidem recensita et expressa. Adjectis Notis Masorethicus.. . . Much reprinted, this edition has Latin prefatory material but is otherwise entirely in Hebrew. The biblical text is in two parts, the first the Five Books of Moses and Former Prophets, the second Later Prophets and Writings. At the end is a listing of the parshiot and haftarot, concluding with a lengthy Hebrew-Latin glossary not recorded in the Hebrew Bibliographic Project description of this edition. The title page has red lettering and there are several attractive head-pieces.
