Description |

Letter by R. Samuel b. Abraham Judah Alter (1885-1969) erudite scholar and rabbi. R. Alter was born in Lemberg and educated in European yeshivas before emigrating to the United States. He served for a time in Havana Cuba then Brooklyn, New York. R. Alter is remembered for his multi-volume work Likutei Batar Likutei, collection of sayings and short homiletic essays on the Bible. |
