Description |

Ethical sermon delivered on Yom Kippur day (September 10, 1896) by R. Isaac Schwartz. The sermon was given at the Seminaire Israelite and is was publishjed by members of his congregation (les soins d’un Groupe de Fidéles). R. Schwartz was apparently close to his congregation, for he begins by addressing them as brothers (mes fréres), that phrase being repeated several times during his discourse. In deliviering his message R. Schwartz quotes from the Bible and Pirkei Avot.
