Description		    Two bio-bibliographical works on the rabbis in Hungary. The first title is Toledot Geonei Hagar by R. Samuel (Zsigmond) Schwartz. It is on the lives and tombstones of the leading Hungarian rabbis. There are approbations from R. Mordecai Leib Winkler and R. Eliezer Deutsch. Toledot Geonei Hagar gives the text of the markers on the graves of the rabbis and biographical and genealogical information. The text is set in a single column in rabbinic letters. It is an invaluable source for research on Hungarian rabbis and their families. The second work, Shem ha-Gedolim me-Erez Hagar, is by R. Phinehas Selig ha-Kohen Schwartz. It appears, however, that despite the differences in name the same individual was the author of both works.

[10], [7]-136, [2]; 8 עמ'. אפשר שעמודי ההסכמות (עמ' [10-7]) נוספו אחר שנדפסו תחילה בראש חלק ב (שם עמ' [4-3]), אלא שכאן נוספו בהם, בחלק התחתון של עמ' [9-8], שתי הסכמות נוספות, שצויינו למעלה, בדפוס אחר ובאות-דפוס זהה לזו שבחלק ג. עמ' 136-128, [1]: "קונטרס אבני צדק... הערות ובקורות", מאת "אחי... מו"ה אברהם יהודא הכהן [שווארטץ] נ"י תופס ישיבה בק"ק קאלטא". עמ' [2]: השמטה; אחרית דבר. 8 עמ': מילואים לשם הגדולים מארץ הגר >מערכת גדולים ח"א<. כוללים גם שמות רבנים ניאולוגים. בגלל רשימה זו חזר בו ר' מרדכי ליב ווינקלער מהסכמתו. עיין: ראובן מרגלית, ציונים ביבליוגרפיים, ארשת, ב, תש"ך עמ' 354, מס' 1609.
