Detailed
Description
Bi-lingual German-Hebrew sheet (letter) on evening services at the conclusion of Shabbat. The text is primarily in German in longhand with a paragraph in Hebrew. That paragraph references the Shulhan Arukh Orah Hayyyim, which states on the dinnim of Arvit (ma’ariv, concluding services) at the end of Shabbat that one should delay praying in order to add from hol (profane time, not Shabbat) to Shabbat. It quotes the Ba’al ha-Tanya on the Shulhan Arukh (Rav Shulhan Arukh) that one does so to add from hol to kodesh. However, the principal is that in effect Shabbat concludes with the appearance of three stars. The paragraph continues on this subject. There is one other Hebrew line on the other side that states that all who are scrupulous (in the performance of mitzvoth) will be the recipient of numerous blessings. There is a signature that begins Leopold but the last name is not clear.
