Description		    Versified celebration of the new Purim (Neue Purim) in 1868. There is a dedication to Samuel Scharmann in Temesvar in recognition of his noble and beneficent work. The text is comprised of twelve quatrains, concluding with a two line stanza. It begins by stressing the relevance of Purim, stating,

Wer beschant die Purim Geshichte
Wewr gut sie liest, beim heutigen – Lichte,
Wer heute so hört von diesen Sach’n –
Muss lichen? Nein! Weinen! Weinen! Nicht lach’n

Weil es König hat gegeben
Der fűr Wölker nie gesorgt in Leben
Der nie gut gedacht fűr die Seinen
Gibt das zu lach’n, oder zu weinen?
