Paragraph 1    The author of this work of controversial literature on the Jewish religion is Siegfried Lichtenstaedter(1865-1942), who is also the author of a number of other books on Judaism and Zionism, including Geburtenregelung und Judentum (Leipzig, 1933), The future of Palestine : an appeal to Zionist Jews and the civilised world (London, 1934), Zionismus und andre Zukunftsmöglichkeiten (Leipzig, 1935) and many others.

Description
   Siegfried Lichtenstaedter was born in Baiersdorf. He studied Oriental languages in Leipzig. He was one of the first Jews in the Bavarian civil service. He was deported to Theresientstadt and died in 1942.
