| Paragraph 1 |
An anthology of articles, written in Yiddish, about the "Ostjuden." Some of the writers include: Adolf Friedman, Julius Hirsch, Nachum Goldmann, et al. |

Detailed Description |
The "Ostjuden" are Jews from Russia and Russian Poland who moved to Germany during the closing decades of the nineteenth century and, mostly involuntarily, during World War I. They aroused in the post-war era public controversey and rabid anti-Semitism disproportionate to their relatively small number. |
