This committee was established in May, 1918, with the full support of the German government. " It attracted prominent Jewish and non-Jewish Germans of all political and ideological shades, brought together by the common conviction that Germany's political, economic and strategic interests were best served by protoing the Zionist cause in Palestine."

Pages [3] and [4] contain a listing of the members, in alphabetical order, though the honorary first position was given to Dr. Konrad Adenauer, [who was the first Chancellor of West Germany (1949-1963)] here listed as the mayor of Cologne, a position he held between 1917-1933.
