The poster begins by recounting how the Roman Empire used to keep its citizens happy by providing them with bread and games (i.e. gladiators, etc) in the ancient arenas.
It then continues by highlighting how keeping the Sabbath has been an important part of Jewish life--how not only have the Jews kept the Sabbath, the Sabbath has guarded Israel.

However, as opposed to calling for everyone not to drive on the Sabbath, which would enhance "keeping the Sabbath", Minister Gad Yaacobi worried that there was no public transportation on that day, and people would not be able to go to soccer games, for example.
The demonstration is called to protest his decision, and remind people that Israel is not Rome, and that the Jews are not like the slaves of ancient Rome.
