Description		    Nine issues, octavo 180:122 mm., usual age staining. Very good copies bound with the original wrappers in contemporary boards, rubbed and split.

Description		    Nine issues of a privately published Yiddish journal by R. R. Hayyim Kaltar. Each issue, with its original wrappers, each a different color, covering a variety of topics, but emphasizing the Hebrew language and grammar. The verso of the covers have introductory remarks followed by the text in vocalized square Hebrew letters. The first issue for example, has daily lessons on Hebrew grammar, practical halakhah, bilingual Hebrew-Yiddish explanations Mikra Meforush (in two columns). These readings and exercises are arranged on a daily basis, so that the final issue concludes with day sixty-two. It is not known if any additional issues were published.
