Description		    Only edition of this ethical work by R. David Mordecai ben Hayyim Rubenfein. This is part two, the first part having been published in Berditshev in 1913. The title is from the verse “A voice cries (kol Korei), Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God” (Isaiah 40:3) which appears on the title page. It describes the book as being on Repentance, prayer, and charity, faith, and fear of Heavan, selected from various books, that the author assembled and added to them from the sayings of the sages and his understanding, all in the manner of derush, written with “good judgment and knowledge” (Psalms 119:66) in a clear and easy language to draw “the hearts of the children of men” (Proverbs 15:11) and bring them close to Torah and divine service. It concludes “hear, and your soul shall live” (Isaiah 55:3) and your portion will be happiness in this world and in the world to come, they will be called “righteous and will rejoice” (Psalms 107:42). On the verso of the title page are verse and two vignettes of the Western Wall and the Temple. Next is a list of those who helped with publication, approbations from R. Moses Mordecai ben Jacob Isaac of Berditshev and R. Joel Saron. The text, in a single column in square letters, includes material form the earlier printing with additions and corrections..
