R. Shalom was an erudite scholar and his novellae and teachings appear in many period periodicals. He wrote many responsa and was the son-in-law of R. Israel Isaac Reizman, Dayan of Jerusalem. He passed on on Erev Sukkot. Three known works, in manuscript, are Nefesh Shalom, Nishmat Shalom, and Ma'aseh Shalom.
