1. R. Mordecai b. Joseph Savitsky, (1928-2008) chief rabbi of Boston. R. Savitsky, a native of Poland, wrote 22 books on the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds. His first volume, "Bikurei Mordecai," was published in 1930, when he was 19 years old. From 1939 to 1984, he was affiliated with Chevra Shaas in Boston. He was honorary president of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States.
2. 50 plus pp. polemical responsa by R. Chaim Dov Ber Gulevsky of Brooklyn. R. Gulevsky, a product of Lithuanian yeshivot, has written extensively on contemporary issues in many periodicals.
3. Responsa [2. pp.] on use of a microphone on the Sabbath by R. Solomon Isaac Levin, Chief Rabbi of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
4. Post card by Rabbi Samuel Walkin (d. 1978) of the Agudat Harabonim, noted scholar especially in the area of divorce law and author of several works. He wrote several works.
