Letter by R. Shabbethai Yagel (d. 1958), Rosh Yeshiva of Slonim. A student of the Volozhin yeshivas, he was appointed Rosh Yeshiva of Slonim in 1906. R. Yagel served in the position for over 50 years until his passing. His influence is still felt today in Erez Israel from the thousands of students he taught and mentored. |
