Detailed
Description
Seven booklets each for a different occasion, with songs to be sung by Jewish children. Each pamphlet has a decorative frame on the cover, varied and appropriate to the subject matter. The pamphlets are for Sabbath chants, Purim, Pesah, Shovuoth, Chanukah, Chamisho Osur Bishvat (Palestine Arbor Day), and for Jewish Sunday Schools. The Shabbat volume has a table of contents. The other booklets begin with the songs. Most songs have musical notations, and accompanying English and Hebrew text as well as transliterate Hebrew. As an example, the songs for Purim are Shoshanas Yaakov; Haybt iz Purim; A wicked, wicked man; Purim day; and Good Purim. At the time of publication the price of the Songsters was 10 cents.
