Detailed Description |
|
Fold out sheet for teaching children the Hebrew alphabet. The attractive black and white cover page has an ornamental frame with a menorah at the bottom and in the center in a rectangular box is a depiction of a classroom of boys and girls sitting at desks writing (presumably) their lessons while the teacher stands at the front of the room writing on the blackboard. On the verso of the title page is the Hebrew alphabet in large letters. BVelow each letter in Roman letters is the name of the letter and below that the name of the letter in vocalized Hebrew. The following page is nekudot (vowel points) with the Hebrew vowels accompanied by Roman pronunciation. Next is a bi-lingual list of the letters in both square and cursive form. The remaining pages are a pronunciation table of the letters with vowels and a page entitled ketav Rashi showing square and Rashi (cursive letters) with pronunciation examples.
