Letter by R. Meir Waknine and R. Jacob Hai Zrehen, Chief Rabbi of Tiberias to Jacob Ashkenazi and Samuel Kohn dated 7 Tishre 5707 (1947), concerning funding for local Jews.
R. Jacob Hai b. Baruch Zrehen (1869-1953) was born and passed on in Tiberias. A erudite rabbinical scholar, he is the author of several scholarly works. All works carry the approbations of Erez Israel's most notable Separdic and Ashkenazi rabbis. He served as Chief Rabbi of the Sephardim in Tiberias for many years. |
