Description		    Booklet concerning establishment of a yeshiva and surrounding community according to the principles followed in Nitra. The title page has a picture of a Torah scroll and in the center a large impressive illustration of the future yeshiva building surrounded by domiciles, representing the community to be built. On the verso is a dedication to R. Solomon Zevi Katz Stern in whose memory the first Keren Kayemeth was founded. The following page state that due to our iniquities darkness has overtaken the the world and the lands of blood, and our families have been slaughtered and our holy rabbis, companions, and students too. Those who remain alive and have come to this land with the Western Wall, the remnant of our bet medrash of the great rabbi of Nitra, and weep, recognize the need to save that which remains of our holy inheritance. They see that there is no place to flee, as the verse states “Cursed be the man who does not maintain all the words of this Torah to do them” (cf. Deuteronomy 27:26). It is their intent to build a yeshiva and community. Ten principles are stated, beginning with establishing the city outside of a city in an open location not yet settled, rules and purposes of instruction, etc. The booklet details, with reference to early sources, these goals and principles.
