A fundrasing poster for a charity call Free Loan Fund Ozar HaChessed. The poster is printed in English and Yiddish and shows a picture of the Kiryath-Samuel quarter built by Ozar-HaChessed. The goal of the charity is to help small businessmen, Talmudical scholars and immigrants by granting them loans free of interest on easy installments. The second goal is to grant substantial loans for the purpose of erecting homes for families of limited means to be paid back by rent over a number of years. This also serves the purpose of providing employment for Jewish labor.
The back of the poster has the "Extract of membership regulations" in English and in Yiddish. For example, "for deceased members, class "A", one Talmud Chochom is detailed to observe the Kaddish through the first year and the Yahrzeit annually for all time." Class "A" is defined as donating $5 annually or a lump donation of $25. |
