A poster printed with the names of 24 distinguished Rabbis, both Ashkenazi and Sephardi pleading with parents--both mothers and fathers-- to assure that their daughters are dressed modestly. It begins by stating that "we have seen disgrace in a daughter of Israel ...." Then it says that women walk in the streets of Jerusalem in pants and specifically, the poster quotes a Biblical injunction against women wearing men's clothing.
