Receipt signed by the last leader of the Chortkover dynasty, R. Solomon b. Nahum Mordecai Friedmann (18941959). He was the fourth generation in desent of the Zaddik, R. Israel of Ruzhin. R. Solomon assumed the mantle of Chortkov upon the passing of his father in 1946 in Tel Aviv. His followers were the aristocracy of the Hasidim of Poland. |
