Detailed Description |
|
Novellae on tractate Zevahim by R. Abraham Judah B. Moses Spreier. The title page is immediately followed by the text. This volume is part of a series, published over many years, beginning with a volume on the first chapter of Temurah, printed in 1915. The second volume, on the first chapter of Makkot (1932), has several approbations.
R. Abraham Judah B. Moses Spreier (d. 1944) was born in Potok and died in Auschwitz. He was a student of R. Mordecai Leib Winkler and R. Nathanel ha-Kohen Fried. A resident of Nyiregyhaza, it appears that R. Spreier did not hold an official rabbinic position but had a yeshivah.
