Description
First two issues of Ha-Netzah, a monthly Torah journal, bound together. The title page of the first edition, in orange wrappers, informs that it is published with the partnership (support) of the leading rabbis and Torah scholars. Including are novellae on the daf ha-Yomi by the Zeirei Agudat Yisrael of Lvov. There is an introduction enunciating the journals statement of purpose, beginning that its purpose is to assemble the scattered strength from the young sharp Torah scholars in order to spread Torah. It will include responsa by the leading sages and novellae and explanations in all corners of halakhah and aggadah. The first issue has twelve simanim, the last on the Daf Yomi. Each entry concludes with the name of the contributor, many of considerable prominence. The first entry is from R. Abraham Jaob ha-Levi Horowitz, av bet din Provozna, the second from R. Meir Shapira, av bet din, Petrokiv (and founder of the Daf Yomi), and then R. Moses Judah Zeider of Sasov. Among the contributors to the second issue are R. Nahum Weidenfeld, av bet din Dembrova, R. Solomon ha-Levi Feigenbaum, av bet din Lekatsh, R. Isaiah Joseph Margalin, av bet din Brooklyn, and R. Solomon Hirtz, av bet din Barshtov
