Detailed Description |
|
Rare unusual work on Ta'anit Dibbur, a"fast" of speech, by R. Samuel Ben-Harosh. A Ta'anit Dibbur or a "fast" of speech, is one in which an individual, or sometimes an entire group of people, avoid speaking of secular matters for one or several days. More than that, in some instances, a Ta'anit Dibbur even extends to refraining from all conversation, even halachically sanctioned speech. Seder di Ta’anit Dibbur, includes both the parameters of such a ta’anit and appropriate learning for the person who has accepted the fast upon himself. Part of the text is in Judeo-Arabic.
