Detailed
Description		    R. Cemach Hoffenberg, Chief Orthodox Rabbi of Hartford, CT, came to the United States from Lithuania in 1897 as an ordained Rabbi. After a short stay in Springfield, MA he moved to Hartford where he served until his passing in 1938. R. Hoffenberg was an active member of the Agudath Harabonim. Two of his works, Minhat Zemah and Haichel Zemah remain in manuscript.
