Hasidic commentary on the Torah by R. Aaron ben Israel Friedman of Sadgora (1877-1912) Sadgora is a branch of Rizhyn Hassidut. R. Aaron succeeded his father as the Admor of Sadgora upon the death of R. Israel. He was known for his great Torah and for having a beautiful voice.The title, place, and date of printing are in red, the remainder of the text on the title page in black. There is approbations from R. Mordecai Shalom Joseph ben Aaron of Sadgora, son of the author. The text follows, in a single column, in rabbinic letters, excluding headers and initial words. The first word of biblical books is enclosed in a decorative frame. Within the text entries are headed by the date on which R. Aaron said his Torah. There are also entries for festivals and for less usual occasions, such as after bedikat hametz (the search for leaven. |
