Description		    Collected liturgical verse to be recited by the Jews of Djerba. The title page describes Shir Yedidot as the songs of praise that the Jews are accustomed to sing in a loud and pleasant voice at times of rejoicing, arranged and collected from the holy mouths of rishonim and aharonim. Almost in their entirety recited by the community before our heavenly Father. Words that come from the heart and enter into the heart. The pages in this volume are still uncut.

Djerba (Jerba), island off the coast of Tunisia. In ancient times it was an important Phoenician trading center. According to the local tradition, the Jewish settlement there is very old. It maintains that the Jews came there during the reign of Solomon and founded the present al-Hara al-Kab
