Among the earliest known Canadian publications of Yiddish verse, this Yiddish translation of the Song of Songs by H. Hirsch was published in Montreal by Eagle Publishing Co. However, the Yiddish on the title page designates the publisher as Ferlag "Canada".
The first version of this work, entitled 100 tropns tint (100 drops of ink), was published in Toronto in l9l7. |
