Letter by R. Jacob Shalom b. Elijah Klein (1881-1944) rabbi of Halmeu (Holmein) Romania. R. Klein was born in Halmeu where his father served as rabbi. After serving as a dayyan in Grosverdein he assumed the rabbinate in Halmeu upon his father's passing. He perished in the Holocaust. |
