Description		    R. Meshullam Zusya b. Hayyim Isaac Twersky, Admor of Chernobyl of Bene Brak (1917-1988). Born in Musir, near Kiev, most of his early studies were done secretly at the Lubavitch yeshivah in Russia. In 1934, he emigrated to the Holy Land, where he was befriended by R. Menahem Nahum of Rotmistrovka and his brother, R. Zeev. In 1936, he returned to Poland to study under his grandfather R. Isaac Isaiah of Czechov. In 1939, he returned to the Holy Land. He married the daughter of R. Jacob Mordecai Brandwein, a descendant of Zloczov. His father died in Siberia on 24 Nisan 1943, and his mother was killed by the Nazis.

For eighteen years (1941-1959) he lived in Jerusalem and then settled in Bene Brak. He established a kollel, Zikhron Kedoshim; a Talmud Torah, Bene Aharaon; and a yeshivah. He was buried in Bene Brak.
