Description		    Title: Maps of the Holy Land Cartobibliography of Printed Maps, 1475-1900. Based on the Eran Laor Collection at the Jewish National and University Library, Jerusalem.

Twenty-four (24) colored map reproductions, eleven (11) of which are full-paged, plus fifty (50) illustrations. The cartobibliography contains 1,185 entries. In addition, there is a sixteen (16)-page, three (3)-column Index of Personal Names and a three (3)-page, four (4)-column Chronological Index. The dustjacket contains a colored detail of The Madaba Mosaic Map, the oldest original map in existence of the Holy Land and, probably, the oldest detailed urban map in existence.
