A compilation of readings on Judaism based on the book Machneh Yisrael by R. Israel Meir HaCohen (The Chofetz Chaim) for Jewish soldiers. The subtitle reads: a religious guide of faith and practice for the Jewish soldier. Note that this book was published during World War II when many American Jews were serving in the armed forces.
The readings encompass many different topics, including: Loyalty, Israel, Creed and Practice [of Judaism], Faith and Life, Ethics and Morals, and the final section : The Soldier in War. The text is entirely in English, with a few Hebrew words transliterated so that all could read this small volume.
