His writings appeared in every major periodical, where he fought valiantly for Judaism and hasidim. R. Kamelhar was the author of many works including biographies of many Hasidic Admorim. He founded several major European yeshivot, served a brief stint as rabbi in New York's Rzeszov-Kurshin congregation, where his fiery speeches for Torah and Sabbath observance were ridiculed. In 1933 he immigrated to Erez Israel where he passed on and is buried in the Mount of Olives.
The present lot was written to Nehemiah Libovitz in New York, begging him to raise funds on his behalf as he is penniless and ill. He passed on shortly thereafter.
