Description		    Alphabetical summary and index to the halakhot in the Torat ha-Hattat (Cracow, 1569, see 16th Cent. 2:782-83) of R. Moses ben Israel Isserles (Rema, c. 1530-1572) by R. Aaron ben Eliezer Lipman of Zempelburg (mid-seventeenth century). Frist printed in 1647 it has disappeared from the market. This addition has modifications based on R. R. Shalom Shaknah and R. Nahum Kaidenower. R. Lipman was Av Bet Din of Zempelburg. There are approbations from R. [Shabbetai] Sheftel Segal [Horowitz] of Posen, R. Abraham de Fonseca of Hamburg, R. David ha-Kohen of Emden. R. Lipman’s introduction follows, in which he informs that his purpose in writing Korban Aharon, is to “open the eyes of the blind” (Isaiah 35:5) and improve access to the Rema’s Torat ha-Hattat which is on the laws of Issur ve-Hetter according to Sha’arei Dura (R. Isaac ben Meir of Dueren, late thirteenth century, (see 16th Cent. 1:340-41, 2:634-35), with additions according to the customs of Polish and German Jewry and adding contemporary customs. R. Lipman writes that nothing in Torat ha-Hattat has been omitted from Korban Aharon. The text, in a single column in rabbinic letters, is organized alphabetically by subject, and within subjects is enumerated by paragraphs.
