Building on the alliance that was established during World War I and the Balfour Declaration, there was a basis for permanent cooperation and mutual confidence unitl 1939 and the issuing of the White Paper. That document, even though it was condemned by many, stood in the way while millions of Jews could have been saved by coming to Palestine.In spite of that, the Yishuv mobilized its manpower and gave almost 30,000 volunteers to join the British forces.

The poster expresses the frustration and despair the more than a year after the end of the war, and two months after the "Anglo-American Committee of Enquiry recommended the immediate admission to Palestine of one hundred thousand Jews from EUrope"...that Palestine is still closed to Jews.

The poster continues to state that the voice of real England should be heard..."Great Britain has a record of sympathy and support for small nations fighting for freedom." It concludes by saying to the Jews of Palestine "we and the Jews of the whole world are with you in your struggle", while condeming the acts of violence and strongly responding to the the British stance of wholesale military operations against the whole of the Jewish population.
