| A poster which asks its readers to perform Mitzvot. It is headed with "observe".
It begins with a history of the first Jews who returned to settle Erez Israel. It relates that the first who returned were students of the Vilna Gaon and of R. Shneur Zalman. The Yishuv developed slowly, but year by year it developed and improved. Those who lived in Jerusalem built homes, opened factories and businesses and broke through the walls of the Old City. Petah Tikva and other settlements were started. The settlers wanted to observe the Torah and also that their children would conduct themselves according to the laws of the Torah. When [those who do not observe mitzvot] saw the success..they founded Zionism, with the JNF charity boxes...and they took the Torah from the heart of the children to educate them with heresy.
Now Hashem has helped us and we have merited a State, but the leaders of the State want to forget the Torah...but they have to know that building up of the land will not be possible without the observance of the Sabbath...and to know that "because of our sins we have been exiled from the Land..." Let us return to live a pure Jewish life on the path of Torah and we will merit the coming of the Redeemer, the Moshiah..sppedily in our time..." |
