Work on matrimonial law. R. Elijah b. Jacob Alfandari (1670?–1717), rabbi and halakhic authority, was av bet din in Constantinople, where he was born and died. He fought Shabbateanism. His works include Seder Eliyahu Rabbah ve-Zuta (1719) on the laws of agunah and Seder Elihah Rabba Ve'Zuta (Constantinople 1719) responsa and novellae on the laws of agunah.
