Description		    Selections from the Torah and the Talmud, and translated into Yiddish by Hillel Malachovsky (1860-1943) Yiddish and Hebrew writer. He contributed to HaMelitz, Voskhod, Tageblatt (NY), Yidisher Herald, and the Morgn Zhurnal. He was born in the Minsk region, Byelorussia and settled in the United States at the turn of the century.

He is also the author of Di Yidishe kolonial-bank(Vilna, 1901), Rishon le-hinukh (New York, 1917), and Mir boyen fir und tsvantsik domnes (Moscow, 1932).
