Description		    Only edition of this two part work on halakhot in Yoreh De’ah and novellae on tractates of the Talmud by R. Zevi Hirsch ben Simeon of Vitebsk. There are several approbations signed by R. Uri Shraga Feivush ben Shneur Zalman, R. Zevi Hirsch ben Meir, R. Baruch ben Judah, R. Samuel ben Joseph, R. Jacob ben Yerahmiel Katz, ane R, Samuel ben Uri Leib, followed by the introduction of R. Joshua and his brother R. Abraham Abele ben Meir, son of the author, who brought the book to press. Haderet Zakenim is a deep and sharp work on that part of Shulhan Yoreh De’ah dealing with the laws of shehitah, trefus, meat and milk, admixtures, non-Jewish foods, Yayyin Nesech, koshering utensils, and concluding with hilkhot Niddah. The second part of the book, with its own foliation, is novellae on tractates Berakhot, Shabbat, Eruvin, Pesahim, Yoma, Rosh HaShanah, Sukkah, Megillah, and Hagigah. Responsa mentioned on the title page were never printed. Hadrat Zekenim was printed on both plain and colored paper, the latter being the rarer and more expensive edition. This copy is the rarer edition printed on colored paper.
          
Paragraph 2    והוא פסקי דינים על ש"ע י"ד הלכות נדה (סי' קפז)... נחית לעומקא רדינא... ר' צבי הירש בהרב מוהר"ר שמעון זצללה"ה שהי' מ"מ ומ"ץ בק"ק וויטעפסק... חלק שני הנקרא נחלת נובע [!] חדושי הלכות בפלפלא חריפתא על גפ"ת באיזה מסכתות [ברכות וסדר מועד]... איזה לקוטים על דברי אגדתא וגם משיב כהלכה באיזה שאלות ותשובות...

ראינו טופס נייר כחול. דף [2,ב] הקדמה, מאת ר' יהושע ואחיו ר' אברהם אבלי בני ר' מאיר בן המחבר, שהביאו את הספר לדפוס. "שאלות ותשובות" הנז' בשער לא נדפסו.
