Detailed
Description
Avot with an Italian translation after each paragraph. Tractate Avot is an anthology of rabbinic maxims, and is the oldest compilation of ethical statements of the Mishnah. It is the only tractate without Halakhic (legal) content, but is composed solely of epigrams and moral teachings attributed to generations of sages.

Avot is the most popular in Talmudic literature. Since Gaonic times (seventh to eleventh centuries) it has been studied on each Sabbath following Passover till Rosh Hashanah. The text is included in the Siddur (daily prayer book), and has been published in numerous editions with many commentaries and translations.
