| A poster decrying the current state of respect for Torah study in Eretz Israel and calling for a day of prayer at the Kotel in Jerusalem in order to arouse and to plead for mercy for the Torah of G-d and the bearers of its flag. This gathering is to take place at 9 a.m. om Monday, the 7th day of Tammuz and is to include the recitation of Psalms and the blowing of the shofar.
In large letters the poster shouts תורה תורה חגרי שק Torah Torah Hagri Sack--language which is used by Jeremiah (6:26) to put on sackcloth as a sign of mourning.
There is a seal at the bottom of the poster from the Vaad Ihud Hakhme...(the rest is illegible). |
