| A declaration by the Yahadut Ha-Haredit regarding the situation...we protest with all force against the flood of protests and insults that have been brought from different sides against His Majesty's government ... we do not see in the Balfour Declaration a messianic idea..and we do not hope from it for the salvation of the people of Israel. We protest with full force against all communication with those "free" [of religion]of Eretz Israel ...because of the radical change in the matter of religion in their schools...because we are sure that on Passover ...chametz...that the official newspaper of the organization of workers will not print on Shabbat...we protest the messianic idea that has been given to the Balfour Declaration... Our situation is like that of Shabbetai Tzvi...we demand ..from the Edah Haharedit..that they should stand guard at this time...we will fight with all our strength against every trial that is in communication with "the free" [of religion]. And to G-d is the salvation!.
