| Approbation letters to R. Meir b. Solomon Roytblatt by:
R. Aaron b. Joseph ha-Kohen (Kagan) (1965-1936), son in law of the Hafez Hayyim and rabbi of Novovasvinsen. A pious man and erudite scholar, he wrote many of father in law's novellae and published several volumes. The approbations in each volume are from the leading rabbis of the generation and all praise him with heavenly qualities. Likewise he was the right hand of his father in law in leading the Radin Yeshiva. He moved with the Yeshiva when it was persecuted by the Russians. Eventually R. Aaron moved to Erez Israel where he established a Yeshiva. He passed on in Erez Israel
R. Simon b. Abraham Rozowski (1875-1943), rabbi of Eishyshok. An erudite scholar, he was a student of the Volozhin Yeshiva and was appointed rabbi of Schimanzy (suburb of Kovno) in 1904. With the persecution of the Bolsheviks he fled in 1909 and became rabbi in Eishyshok where he served until his murder by the accursed Nazis in the Holocaust.
Many wonderful stories have been told and written about both of these venerable Torah giants. They were highly important and respected rabbis in Lithuania.
