Description		    Only edition of this multi-faceted commentary on the Haggadah by R. Isaac Zekel ha-Levi Berman Spitz Segal. The title page describes as being a commentary resulting from conmsiderable research, study, and exertion to determine the underlying reasons of the Torah, Talmud, and midrashei ha-Torah. As a hammer brings out sparks of light so here to he brings explanations of verses and gemarras without straying from their literal meanings. Discourses are explained, wondrous and difficult, and included in it are pilpulim and sevarot. The verso of the title page has an introduction from R. Israel ha-Levi Spitz, son of the author. Approbations follow, from R. Abraham Leib Fisch and R. Benjamin Zev Katz Rappaport. There is an introduction from R. Isaac Zekel, verse in which the initial letters of each line spell out the author’s name and the text. The Haggadah is in the inner column in large vocalized letters accompanied by R. Isaac Zekel’s commentary in the outer column in small rabbinic letters. At the end are the piyyutim recited after the Haggadah, also with the commentary Be’ur Yitzhak.
          
Paragraph 2    עם באור יצחק ... לבאר הדרשות ... וכן בארתי כמה שיטות וסוגית בגמרא. בפלפול וסברא ... וטעמים ומוסרים ... יצחק (זעקיל) הלוי (במהור"ר בערמאן שפיץ סג"ל מניקלשפורג ... פה באנהרד).

מעבר לשער: מליצה [הקדמה] מבן המחבר, ר' ישראל הלוי שפיץ. כותב בין השאר: "ישראל בא ... להוציא לאורה ספר ביאור יצחק הכינו ... א"א ... מו"ה יצחק זעקל הלוי שפיץ זלה"ה ... ועתה מצאתי ... פרי עץ סניף לטהור הוא מחברת אחי המנוח מוה' (יחיאל) מיכל זצ"ל רב דק' העדיוס להיות שני לקודש, אב ובנו שראו את החדש ... כי גם הוא הלך בעקבי אבי". וכן כותב המסכים השני: "ובסוף הספר עוד ספר קטן נקרא פרי עץ". הספר "פרי עץ הדר" הוא חיבור נפרד, נדפס עם שער מיוחד וספירת-דפים מיוחדת. עיין: שפיץ, יחיאל מיכל בן יצחק הלוי. תרגום אשכנזי באותיות צו"ר לפיוטים "אדיר הוא", "אחד מי יודע" ו"חד גדיא".
