Description
Wonderful letter of recommendation for a young groom who had been held captive by the Japanese by R. Meir b. Shnuer Zalman Ashkenazi (d. 1954), rabbi of Habad in Shanghai. The rabbi informs the future father in law that he desires his name mentioned under the Hupah, as the groom has much merit in the heavens.
