Description		    Only edition of these novellae on tractate Berakhot from R. Abraham ben Israel Dirnfeld (Direnfeld). Bet Yisrael is a compilation from rishonim and aharonim on the tractate by R. Drinfeld. On the verso of the title page is R. Drinfeld’s introduction, in which he informs that he has entitled the book Bet Yisrael to fulfill the mitzvah of honoring one’s father, by naming the book after his father R. Israel ben JacobDirnfeld who served for many years after R. Ezekiel Benet as av bet din in Nitra. He also mentions his mother Leah, daughter of R. Joseph Henig, also an av bet din in Nitra. There are approbations from R. Saul Brockh of Nitrta, R. Jacob Ezekiel Ruenwald of Puppa, R. Yoshea Buchsbaum of Galanta, and R. Asher Anshel Katz of Sardahali, followed by indices and addenda and then the text, in two columns in rabbinic letters. The volume, described on the title page as part one, although there it appears that part two was never published, covers the first three chapters of tractate Berakhot. The volume concludes with a list of the individuals, by location, who assisted in financing publication.
