Description		    First edition of the collected homilies and insights on various subjects in the Talmud and halakhah by R. Pinhas Aharon b. Jacob Joseph Niminski. He is described on the title page as the elderly rav from Uman, currently resident in Jerusalem in two courtyards, ha-Talmud Torah and Yeshivat Hayyei Olam. R. Niminski has dedicated them to the mitzvah of Talmud Torah as it says “She is a tree of life to those who lay hold on her; and happy is every one who holds her fast” (Proverbs 3:18). He writes that it is explained in the Shulhan Arukh Yoreh De’ah hilkhot zeddakah no. 247:2 in the Rema, concerning one who dedicates something to charity, that it is permissible to write his name on it that it should be for him a remembrance and that it is appropriate to do so. There is an introduction from R. Niminski which begins with verses from Micah, Psalms, and the Zohar. The text of Zikhron Devarim, set in a single column consists of one hundred forty entries expositions on varied subjects based on sources such as the Talmud and Zohar. At the end of the volume are addenda.
